For 50 chronically ill and disabled children aged 6 to 17 years, a dream, if they are a real (co-) pilot for once in their lives
These young pilots - in-the- cap have been invited by the Foundation Hoogvliegers with their parents, brothers and / or sisters,
make a flight in a light aircraft. This day is accomplished in collaboration with
the Royal Air Force airbase Leeuwarden makes available specifically for Hoogvliegers Foundation

The individual flights are operated by various sports planes, these are from airports across the Netherlands.
Shortly after noon there was a demonstration flight off the AB412SP Search and Rescue (SAR) helicopter
and the F-16AM "Fighting Falcon" demonstration team of the Royal Air Force.

Foundation Hoogvliegers

Since September 2007 Foundation Hoogvliegers gives every year about 1,000 chronically ill - and disabled children
aged 6 to 17 years, a unique day to fly in a helicopter or plane them.
Just a day not thinking about being sick, but keep to the right of their device because yes ... if conditions permit,
they may send their flight itself. Meanwhile, more than 6200 children can call themselves a real (Co-)Pilot.

Laagvliegers

In addition to flying, there are many other activities for the kids yet. So the children can practice extensively on simulators,
there is a bouncy castle, a clown creates a cheerful note, the children of a colorful face paint to provide the fire and gives demonstrations.
Also place can be taken in one of the trucks for fliers for a ride on the airport.
