Messerschmidt BF-110G4 (4857 "G9+C2) from the 4./NJG.1, from Fliegerhorst Leeuwarden flown by Commander 12.NJG1 OBLT Lothar Linke (33) and his radar operator Walter Czybulka, during this interception fired OBLT Linke with his guns, the Lancaster immediately caught fire. The burning plane crashed on the southside of the Aldedyk

Fate: On the way to the target, Duisburg town, the bomber was noticed by German radar post "TIGER" at Terschelling , and send an nightfighter of the type Messerschmidt BF-110G4 (4857 "G9+C2) from the 4./NJG.1, from Fliegerhorst Leeuwarden flown by Commander 12.NJG.1 OBLT Lothar Linke (33) and his radar operator Walter Czybulka. At about 5000 meters of the ground, fired OBLT Linke with his guns on the Halifax. thereby shooting some steering surfaces from the tail of the Bomber. The uncontrollable plane went down and crashed between Harlingen and Achlum. Before crashing, the unmanaged Halifax broke into pieces and spead across a large area near Harlingen and Achlum.

Walter Czybulka. The Lancaster was intercepted and shot down and crashed at 23:51Lt 1Km near Hieslum.

Target: Intercept Allied Aircrafts.
Fate: During an night mission at the South West Fryslan, the right engine was on fire, Linke and Czybulka had to bail out, Linke was killed during the bailout,
after hitting the tailsection. The Messerschmidt was found the next day North of Tacozijl, near Lemmer.

Fate: Overhead the target at Buchum City, Germany the Lancaster was hit by FLAK, The damaged Lancaster returned towards their homebase, when the Lancaster was noticed by an German radar post, they send an nightfighter from Fliegerhorst Leeuwarden 10./NJG1, flown by OBLT Rudolf Sigmund and his crew. After being shotdown the Lancaster crashed into the Northern part of the IJsselmeer. Four crewmembers washed ashore at various locations.

Sir. Reading through your site came across Military aircraft losses ww21943. and noticed uncles gravestone,
at Terschelling with two of hits crew his name Sgt FW Turner (Billy) Kia 22-July 1943 my daughter and myself
came over to Terschelling May 2017. When we put photo on grave first time any family has managed to see
the grave ,and we hope to come back early next year,,,

Target: Exercises.
Fate: After Georg had dropped his bombs, he skimmed over the "ship" at a height of 500 meters to see if he had hit a target. The Messerschmitt 109G, becomes covered, uncontrollable and pours into the soft clay. The box is so deep in the mud that storage is not possible.
The crash location will be the field grave of Georg Wilhelm.

Target: Fieseler aircraft plant and Henschel plant at Kassel, Germany.
Fate: Returning from the bombing mission the Halifax was perhaps noticed by the German radar post "TIGER" at Terschelling and send an nightfighter from the 4./NJG.1, flown by Luftwaffe Ace OFW HEINZ VINKE and Uffz. FW Karl Schodl. The Halifax was intercepted and shot down and crashed at 23:22Lt East of Terschelling near Formerum into the Waddensea .

Fate: Crashed returning from a bombing mission at Bremen Germany, when the B-17F "Holy Mackeral" was hit by enemy FLAK that caused explosions on the plane. The pilot 1Lt E.J. Le Blanc (22)lost all control due to the damage, and crashed North East of the village in an field.
