22-01-1944 LL627/JI-U Lancaster Mk.II No.514sq RAF Homebase : Raf Waterbeach, Cambridge.

Target: Maagdenburg, Germany.
Fate: The Halifax was perhaps noticed by the German radar post "TIGER" at Terschelling and send an Messerschmidt BF-110 nightfighter from the 11.NJG1, prossibly flown by Luftwaffe Ace OBLT HEINZ VINKE and his crew. The Lancaster was intercepted and shot down at 0046Lt and crashed into the Waddesea near Kornwerderzand.

Target: Leipzig, Germany.
Fate: The Halifax was perhaps noticed by the German radar post "TIGER" at Terschelling and send an Messerschmidt BF-110 nightfighter from the 11.NJG1, flown by Luftwaffe Ace OBLT HEINZ VINKE and his crew. The Halifax was intercepted and shot down and crashed at 05:00Lt South off Harlingen into the Waddensea.

The Hudson was intercepted and shot down and crashed at 02:30Lt 3Km South West of Kornwerderzand, South of the Afsluitdijk into the IJsselmeer.

Target: None, Training exercise, intercepting enemy airplanes
Fate: After a Mid-Air Collision during a training exercise with another P-51 Mustang flow by Flt.Lt. M.F. Befinger, both crashed into the northsea 45 Miles east Bradwell Bay, UK Both pilots could bailout but drowned before rescue. The body of Fl.Lt Befinger was recovered from the sea, the body of Fl.Lt Kubica
was not found during the rescue mission but washed ashore at Dutch coast near Makkum.
